Running buddies

Gabe completed the Kids Rock mile run last night to cap off his modified marathon run of 26.2 miles. He really enjoyed running even though when we got there he was pretty nervous - there were a lot of kids. Afterwards, he said he wished he could run another mile! To make the whole thing even more fun, he got to run with his good friend David.

The boys were divided by grade level, so Gabe and David ran with the 1st graders and Wills ran earlier with the 3rd graders. They all did great - way to go boys!

A sneak peek

Here's a little peek at our baby #5 (and no we didn't find out the gender.)

You could definitely say when you've see one ultrasound shot you've seen them all, but there is something special about seeing your own baby. We can't wait to meet this little one sometime in September (hopefully!)

Easter fun

While RuthAnne and Will were here visiting, we dyed eggs and had a little egg hunt. I think everyone had a good time and I'm certain enough sugar was consumed to last at least a year.

Of course we had to take the customary Easter morning pictures. The girls were very excited to get to wear their dresses from Emma's wedding.

Cousin love

We've had a lot of fun this week with RuthAnne, Will, Grandmama, and Carrie. Grandmama made new skirts for the girls so they had to model them this afternoon.

We even attempted a group shot with moderate success.

Spring pics

While Gabe was at piano this afternoon, the girls and I walked around Belmont's campus and took some pictures.

This is what happens when you bonk your child in the head {accidentally} with your camera while you're helping her up on the bench.

Cookie making

Obviously, everyone was acting too silly to get a good picture.

Eden was screaming, "COOKIE! COOKIE!" the whole time.

We made these and they were very good, but definitely an occasional treat - it is a lot of cookie!

Another favorite

Here's another dress that reminds me of sisters who wore it before (and doesn't Eden look so big in this picture?)

This time it's Alena Bena as a just-turned 2 year old playing in the kitchen floor.

A spring dress

Is anyone else tired of seeing the lawnmower pictures? We've had lots going on, but the picture taker has apparently been on strike. I'll try to get her back on the job.

I've always loved this little dress that Eden wore today,

and these pictures reminded me of Mya wearing the same dress at just about the same age.

Humor me here, are these two not the cutest? (Gabe 3 years, Mya 18 months) They've grown up so much.
